Warehouse Safety Products & Rack Protection
Bollards, column protectors, rack guards, safety netting, and end-of-aisle protection — supplied and installed throughout Central Pennsylvania.
Why Rack Protection Matters
A pallet racking system is only as reliable as its protection from the environment it operates in. Forklifts, pallet jacks, and pedestrian traffic create dozens of minor impacts every week. Individually, these impacts may seem harmless. Cumulatively, they deform uprights, loosen anchor bolts, and compromise load capacity — often invisibly, until a section fails.
Warehouse safety products are not optional accessories. They are a core part of a properly maintained racking system — one that protects your crew, preserves your racking investment, and keeps you compliant with OSHA and ANSI/RMI MH16.1 inspection standards. KWI supplies and installs all five categories of warehouse safety protection for facilities across Central Pennsylvania.
Our Safety Product Lineup
All five product categories are available to facilities throughout Central Pennsylvania — sold and installed by the same team that installs and permits your racking systems.
Warehouse Bollards
Steel bollards form a physical barrier between forklift traffic and your most vulnerable assets — rack uprights, structural columns, overhead doors, pedestrian pathways, and machinery. A single forklift strike on an unprotected upright can compromise an entire bay; a bollard in the right location prevents that strike from happening.
- Heavy-gauge steel construction
- Powder-coat finish in safety yellow
- Surface-mount or in-ground anchoring
- Single and double bollard configurations
- Rated for forklift impact loads
Rack Protection Guards
Low-profile rack guards bolt to the floor at the base of upright columns — the most frequently struck point in any racking system. Unlike column protectors (which wrap the upright itself), rack guards anchor to the concrete and intercept forklift impacts before they reach the structural steel. They are replaceable independently of the rack frame, keeping repair costs low.
- Fits standard 3" and 4" uprights
- High-visibility safety yellow finish
- Easy bolt-on installation
- Replaceable without disrupting installed rack
- Compatible with all major rack manufacturers
Column Protectors
Wrap-around column protectors cushion rack uprights against low-speed forklift strikes — the kind of glancing impacts that occur dozens of times a year in active operations. By absorbing and distributing impact energy, column protectors extend the service life of your racking system and reduce the frequency of costly upright replacements.
- Impact-absorbing polymer construction
- Fits uprights from 3" to 6" wide
- Tool-free installation
- OSHA-compliant high-visibility colors
- UV-resistant for long service life
Safety Netting
Wire mesh or polypropylene safety netting installs at the rear and sides of elevated rack levels to prevent product, packaging, or debris from falling onto personnel and equipment below. This is an ANSI/RMI requirement for many high-bay installations and a critical safety feature in any facility where personnel work in the same aisles as forklift activity.
- Wire mesh or polypropylene options
- Custom sizing for any bay configuration
- Frame-mount or upright-mount installation
- ANSI/RMI compliant
- Available in multiple mesh sizes
End-of-Aisle Guards
The ends of rack rows — where aisles intersect — are statistically the most frequently damaged sections of any racking system. Forklifts making turns, backing out of aisles, and navigating tight spaces impact end uprights at a far higher rate than mid-row positions. End-of-aisle guards provide structural protection at these high-traffic impact zones.
- Structural steel construction
- Corner and straight configurations
- Fits all standard upright profiles
- High-visibility powder coat finish
- Easy floor-anchor installation
